From engineering to projects and TFS

Joep started as an engineer at HVL Metaalbewerking and grew along with the company when HVL Projects was founded in 2018, where he became a project engineer. Since this year, he has also been applying his technical knowledge at TFS Filling Solutions, where his tasks include calculating costs, preparing quotations, providing technical support for sales and collaborating on innovative filling solutions. “The best thing about my job? That we can make a difference with our own products. When customers give feedback because they are proud of their purchase, you know you’re doing the right thing.”
Every machine is custom-made. Although TFS works from a basic machine, Joep always thinks along with the customer: “No two projects are the same. That keeps the work challenging and dynamic.”

A project to be proud of

One of the most impressive projects Joep worked on was the filling line for Brenntag in Zwijndrecht. “Two fully automated lines for jerry cans. Empty cans were automatically fed by a robot, filled, closed and then neatly palletised. The line ran at up to 700 cans per hour and could process more than 30 different products.” A fine example of the power of smart engineering combined with customer-focused customisation.

A close-knit team with drive

Joep is enthusiastic about the team spirit at HVL and TFS: “We are a young, eager-to-learn team. Everyone is there for each other and wants to deliver a high-quality product. You can feel that in everything we do.” He works closely with various departments at HVL, such as sales. “The lines of communication are short, and that’s exactly what demonstrates the strength of the HVL group: responding quickly, delivering quality and solving problems as they arise – always with the customer’s wishes as the starting point.”

Vision for the future: TFS as the leading name in filling solutions

Joep has a clear goal for the future: “I want companies to think of TFS immediately when they consider a filling line. Not only because of the technology, but because we offer a total package: from design and delivery to aftercare and maintenance. Everything under one roof, with a strong team.”
For Joep, a project is only truly successful if the customer is still completely satisfied after a few months. “If operators enjoy working with it and the line continues to run as intended, then we’ve done our job well.”
