The challenge: growing with a focus on efficiency and quality

As a manufacturer of chemical cleaning products, Lema Chemie keeps investing in the further development of its production environment.

Expanding production capacity goes hand in hand with optimising existing processes. Alongside a larger production volume, the focus is on more efficient processing of raw materials, better process control and consistent product quality.

The new mixing tank is a key link in this, and it also opens up opportunities for further automation.

The solution: a mixing system built for the future

Lema Chemie and TFS had already worked together on a jerrycan filling line. When the new production hall was being fitted out, we were involved from the design phase onwards in developing a suitable mixing system.

The result is a mixing tank with a capacity of 15 m³. It was built in our own workshop in Liessel and installed at Lema Chemie in Weelde 17 weeks after the project started.

The design took into account the specific requirements of a chemical production environment, as well as the option to automate the system further at a later stage.

This makes the mixing tank more than an expansion of current production capacity. It also lays a solid foundation for a more integrated production process, controlled by recipes.

The result: more capacity and further process optimisation

The new mixing system offers Lema Chemie several advantages:

  • A substantial increase in available production capacity.
  • More scope to organise production processes efficiently.
  • A system tailored to the specific requirements of chemical products.
  • Provisions for efficient cleaning between successive production batches.
  • A foundation built for the future, ready for further automation and production based on recipes.

In the next phase, further integration of the piping and controls is planned, with the aim of automating the supply and dosing of raw materials step by step.

Over time, this will allow Lema Chemie to produce even more accurately and consistently, with better control over raw material consumption, production processes and product quality.

An investment in the future

“With this new mixing tank, we are taking an important step in the further expansion and professionalisation of our production environment. For us, this investment is about more than extra capacity alone. It fits our ambition to systematically optimise and further automate our production processes, with a continued focus on efficiency, quality and reliability. Working together from the design phase onwards added real value.”
